Happy New Year
Yep rather late and all that, but I have been away from my computer for what seems like forever!. We have been ensconced over at the Lake since the boys broke up from school with only quick trips back home to mow the lawns periodically. It is so much easier to keep the boys entertained at the lakes with all the water play and their mates around - not to mention plenty of people for us to chat too to.
The weather has been superb and we are keeping our fingers crossed that the good weather and in particular the wind will hold out until after Auckland anniversary weekend when we hold our annual waterski tournament. Last year we were almost blown and had to cancel the jump event. It is all hands on deck to organise the tournament at the moment with all the accommodation and catering bits to be sorted out. We are looking pretty good so hopefully it will all be sorted without too many last minute hassles.
I took Ali and Nick to get their new school uniforms today and walked out of the shop $350 lighter - man I don't know how they can charge that much for such ugly looking clothing! And that was just the basics with no jackets or shoes.
Time for bed now - not used to sitting round the computer and my eyes are getting tired - I will be back fulltime come 7 Feb when the boys start school.
